'National Social Welfare' award to young activist Baniyan

The founding president of Nepal Yuva Parishad and youth activist Saroj Baniyan has been honored with the 'National Social Welfare Award' of 2024. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Rana presented the award during a program organized at the National Dance Hall in Jamal.

According to the organizers, Baniyan has been honored in appreciation of the contribution of empowering the youth through various programs and training. For one and a half decades, the National Youth Conference has been organized on the occasion of International Youth Day under the leadership of leaders active in youth empowerment.

Similarly, under his leadership, provincial youth conferences are organized in every province and youth are involved in various activities on entrepreneurship, climate change, achieving sustainable development goals and localization, youth and elections, the role of youth in food and crops and agriculture and biodiversity conservation, information technology, etc. . 

Under the leadership of Baniyan, the Asian Youth Conference of Asian countries has been completed in 2019 and 2023. Along with Baniyan, Season Media Pvt Ltd has awarded the 5th National Social Welfare Award to 18 individuals and organizations in various categories.

Likewise, Tirtharaj Vant, the president of Nepal Blind Welfare Association Kathmandu and a personality dedicated to Nepal Red Cross Society, social worker and writer, has been awarded a long service award. Pradeepraj Vant, president of Season Media, said that the honor was given to those individuals and organizations for their transformative contributions to social service through the social sector.
