Smriti posted an 11-page long status and described herself as Sumit Bhattarai  She revealed that she had been threatening her with messages on social media for a year, followed her from college to her home, and behaved indecently.

Smriti says that Sumit tortures her when she doesn't care . Not only that, Sumit also created a fake account on Insta in the name of Smriti  was opened . Smriti kept ignoring, Sumit kept giving grief. After Smriti blocked everywhere, Sumit took a surprising measure . He even sent 1/1 rupees hundreds of times to Isewa and sent a chilling message in the remarks . While sending money to Isewa, he wrote, "I only love you and don't look at others." Not only that, he wrote insulting words. Sometimes he used to send hundreds of emails with the word 'old lady' in the subject of the email . Such behavior was making memory difficult day by day .

It's not just abuse. This is stocking . This is the madness of a dangerous person Sumit used to follow him on his way to school and school. Sometimes he used to chase the microbus in which Smriti was riding, and sometimes he was riding in the tampo . Even when Smriti warned that she would go through the legal process, Sumit started to look more aggressive. Smriti posted a video on that day. Sumit seems to be following him in the microbus he was riding in. And Sumit has also tried to touch her . Smriti says that she will go to the police by saying 'I don't want you'. Meanwhile, there is a conversation between the two people. The same video is now going viral on social media. "My exam will also arrive at the center." He watches so that I get scared and my exam gets spoiled,' Smriti said in the post.

After Sumit's behavior crossed the limit, Smriti also filed a complaint with the police circle in Calicut. Sumit did not leave Smriti's trail even though he reached the Cyber Bureau . Smriti couldn't bear it and shared the pain she was going through on Insta through her heartache post. At the end of the post, she asked him to live in peace and read. "It's not just abuse." But on July 21, Smriti filed a complaint with the police saying that Sumit abused her in a public place. Sumit was arrested by the police on August 8 in an indecent case and is being investigated.

Torture in the name of love

Smriti is not the first person to suffer from the abuse of social media, recently there are many similar or different incidents. Another girl who has been victimized by social media is Kripa (name changed). Kripa, who was in a relationship with a man she met on Facebook, ran into trouble in no time. Boyfriend repeatedly asked to send nude photos . Biswas sent a nude video to her boyfriend as she called Kripa the person she loved. But gradually the relationship began to crack and both of them separated. One day suddenly Kripa sent a video from an unknown number to her ex-boyfriend Grateful Jang Thapa on social media, threatening to insult her again and again .

The person started promising to delete the video if he paid. Kripa believed him and sent 10,000 rupees to the Isewa number he sent. But he again began to make various demands with grace . They used offensive words and repeatedly threatened to send the video to their family members if they did not go. Kripa started getting very stressed. Kripa applied to the Cyber Bureau after an unknown person put a lot of stress on her. During the investigation, it was revealed that the person who backmailed him was a 24-year-old Ayush officer from Lalitpur. He was arrested by the police officer on March 26 for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063.

Suffering from her own

19-year-old Kalpana (name changed) is suffering from a similar incident. 2 years ago Kalpana had a normal conversation with Hari (name changed) who is currently living in Bardiya as Dailekh ancestral home. After some time, the marriage took place due to the pressure and blackmail of the man. At that time, Kalpana was studying in the first year of her bachelor's degree at Phupu's house. After that, her husband started quarreling, doubting, repeatedly beating her and she reached a state where she could not bear the torture. Kalpana passed away. After deciding to live separately, both of them ended the relationship in consultation. But Hari is doing character assassination by putting Kalpana's photo on social media. Hari has been using Kalpana's photo as a status and posting photos on Facebook.

Now I will go to the legal process.'

Cyber security expert Rajeev Subba, who is also a former DIG, says that crimes have increased due to lack of knowledge about cyber security. He says, 'We don't know much about cyber crime.  The public is not taught about this . Social engineering means that hackers commit crimes by watching people's behavior.' Subba said that cyber crime is increasing due to personal details being kept on social media. He says, "We publish everything from birthday, family, place of residence, car number to phone number on social media, that makes it easy for hackers." That's why cyber crimes have increased. He suggested that if someone's belongings are found, all the information should not be kept open. "If someone's citizenship is found, their information will be displayed on social networks, this should not be done". The government body does not know about this matter,  It didn't happen to everyone.'
