If you are traveling on the east-west highway, you should also take care of the trees leaning to the left and right. It is not known when the tree that is about to touch the ground on the road will fall.

It fell on the road between Sal trees in the forest of Chandranigahpur-Bagamati section at 8 o'clock in the morning on the 2nd of July. The vehicles that came close to them escaped. A major accident was avoided due to the lack of management of trees that had fallen for a long time. Although there were no human casualties when the tree fell, the highway was blocked for one and a half hours.

As soon as they got the news that the tree had fallen, the team from the area police and district traffic police office Chandranigahpur tried to remove the tree with the help of saws and axes. More than 100 vehicles queued up on this road known as lifeline in a short time . Passengers had to suffer when they had to stop in the middle of the forest in hot summer. Amar Shrestha, a bakery businessman who was coming from Bardibas to Chandranigahpur, said that the road and forest office could not manage the fallen trees on the highway in time, and the passengers and drivers had to suffer.

'If the tree had fallen on the vehicle, there could have been human casualties . If these things are not taken care of, it will cause big problems in the future," he said, "now the trees along the highway are like an ambush. There is no telling when it will fall.'' There were two cargo trucks in front of the car he was driving. He was in the mood to overtake the truck. But he said that he barely survived when a tree fell in front of him.

Lately, it can be seen that large trees have fallen down on both sides of the East-West highway and formed a dam. About one thousand such trees are found on the highway side, where it seems necessary to manage them immediately. Drivers complain of having to look up and down the highway. This view of the highway complains that every year during the rainy season, motorists, passengers, and motorcyclists have to walk in fear. Ramkumar Mishra, the driver of the Birgunj-Janakpur bus, said that there is always a fear of being in danger.

Gyanendra Bin, a doctor at the government hospital in Chandranigahpur, died on the spot on the evening of 22nd Baisakh, 2065 in the evening of Bagmati-Chandranigahpur section of the east-west highway located in Chandrapur-1, near Lach, when his motorcycle hit a tree that had fallen on the highway due to a strong wind. The motorcycle he was riding hit a fallen tree on the highway. The tree fell and was stuck on the road. The division road office was also criticized after the incident.

The road and forest office has been heavily criticized for not paying the attention of the relevant agencies even though the trees are being felled by the wind during the drought. There are many incidents of small trees falling on the highway during the rains. It is not found that the traffic police keep the data of such incidents after sending the vehicle away immediately. Nepal Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office Pathaliya Bara has informed that the highway was blocked only 3 times in the month of July. According to the

office, on June 18, traffic was stopped for a while after a tree fell on the Pathlaiya-Nijgarh section. On 2nd of July, after the tree fell near Chandi Bridge and the traffic was stopped, the security personnel cut it off. On the 10th of July, a tree fell on the Chandranigahpur-Bagamati section and traffic was blocked for about one and a half hours. DSP Vakil Singh, the spokesperson of Pathalaiya Traffic Office, said that the fallen trees on both sides of the highway can cause problems. "We want to get the attention of the relevant authorities," he said.

2079 On the 27th of Baisakh, a bikki Thapa of Chandrapur-4 who was coming from Hetaunda on a motorcycle to Chandranigahpur, hit his hand when a tree suddenly fell on the Nijgarh-Pathalaiya section. Thapa suffered a similar injury. Thapa said that he directly saw a sal tree falling down on the road a little away from him when the wind blew at a high speed. "Blessed branch sprung up and fell into my hand." Got the same injury. "I avoided a major accident," he said, "The trees have fallen touching the road on both sides of the national highway, but the concerned authorities have not been able to pay attention to it." At that time, the joint team of the area police and traffic cleared the tree and removed it overnight, and the traffic was opened . The trees on the right and left sides of the highway from Bara's Pathlaiya to Sarlahi's Banke forest have reached a state of collapse. It has been found that many tree branches are causing problems in vehicle movement. Bus drivers say that if the branches are not cut in time, there will be a big accident.

The danger to the vehicle is the same when the branch breaks during the windy season . Road and Forest Office has been accused of not showing interest in removing all the trees on the left and right sides of the highway. Branches of trees on the side of the highway can be seen falling down. There is a possibility that such branches may break and fall on the vehicle in a windy storm. If it falls on the vehicle, it can kill people . Now in many places, tree branches can be seen falling down on the side of the road.

Arun Kumar Lal Karna, head of Road Division Office, Chandranigahpur, said that the process of cutting the trees blocking the highway has been started with the approval of the forest. "We have been cutting and managing the trees that are about to fall and are causing danger by taking an order from the forest," he said. Soon after the tender of the four-lane road, the time to travel in fear will end.'

The Mahendra Highway has made an incomparable contribution to bind the Nepalis from the east to the west in a single formula. With the development of this highway, the country has made an incomparable development in trade and commerce. Lately, the branches of the trees on the side of the highway have grown and fallen down. The concerned body has not been able to manage it .

This highway was inaugurated by the then King Mahendra in the year of Vikram Samvat 2022. More than 10,000 vehicles run daily on the longest highway in Nepal, connecting Nepal from Kakdavitta (Mechi Nagar) to West Mahendranagar, which is more than eleven hundred kilometers long. Transportation professionals say that travel on the national highway connecting the capital should be safe. Lalbabu Giri, President of Rautahat Bus Business Association, says that the branches of the trees on the side of the national highway should be cut and removed. Drivers are driving in unison.

During the rains, the wind causes the trees to fall and the branches to break. Initiatives should be taken to make vehicles and passengers safe.' Recently, there have been problems on the national highway due to encroachment of tree branches and market areas.

Lately, traffic has been blocked for hours due to falling trees. Drivers drive their vehicles carefully to see if the branches of the tree will break them. They drive up, watching . The road should be cleaned by cutting tree branches on time. Hemant Sah, head of Division Forest Office, Chandranigahpur, said that he would help if the road was initiated.
