Since the vegetables are produced in our own garden, we don't have to buy them. If we raise two more goats for oil, salt, and spices, we can do it. We have enough to eat sweet and savory. This is how my life in the village is going.

I live in Pathibhara Yangwarak-1. We don't have to feed people in large quantities in the mountains. I don't think that if we work a little, we should be free. We are a family of 5, including an old man and a son and a daughter. Raising 10 goats a year is enough for our household expenses. We also celebrate Dashain with great joy. That's why 20 thousand rupees are spent on Dakshina during Dashain. 10 to 15 thousand rupees are also spent on Deuse-Bhailo during Tihar. When going to social functions like marriage, barkhant, pasni, chhevar, gifts and dakshina, it costs about one lakh rupees a year.

I have 12 ropanis of land that can be used for farming. We are supported by the income from farming and goat farming. Because people should also know how to be content in life. You should not get upset just because someone else is riding a horse. The place where I live is deep. The Mechi Highway is 800 meters above. The Tamor River is below. During winter, there is a lot of worry about the spread of fire. The fire that rises from the Tamor gorge reaches the surrounding settlements. When there is a fire, you cannot even say let's go to work. When there is a fire, you have to start protecting your house.

At such times, you have to provide food and water to your friends who come to help. It costs a little. You don't have to start the fire yourself. But, just wishing is not enough. After coming from the forest below, you have to start the fire from here. This is called the fire line. The most difficult part of the mountain is the forest fire.

I had also bought 12 ropanis of land in 042 BS for 6 thousand rupees. Now the price of land has also increased. The price of a goat that was bought for 500 rupees has also reached 25 thousand rupees. However, since my house is deep, there is a little relief. When a fire breaks out in the forest, they start setting fire from the Mewakha police station above. If they don't, the physical structure will be damaged, so they have to set fire. I also start drawing the fire line from around the house. For this reason, I have not been able to build a house with a fence around it. Of course, this has also saved costs. Being close to the forest, I have been able to raise goats. I have made a living from this. In winter, if there is no fire, I cannot enter the forest again.

That is why the challenge is the same. There is no happiness. There is no sorrow. I am a person born in 021 BS. Gold that was bought for 2500 rupees per tola has now exceeded 3 lakhs. I had also bought this 12 ropani land for 6 thousand rupees in 042 BS. Now the price of land has also increased. The price of a goat that used to be bought and sold by 500 people has also reached 25 thousand rupees. More importantly, this land has taken care of my family's household expenses. During Dashain, we have a family of 17/18 people. It has also taken care of the expenses of guests, relatives coming and going and myself while traveling.
