With my husband and my hard work, we were able to save enough to buy a house and build a small house, even if it was small, by borrowing money. This success makes me forget the pain of having to work from 7 am to 7 pm.

It has been ten years since we came to Tansen. For us, the city was a bustling market. My husband Prem Kumal made arrangements for us to come and stay in Tansen.
My husband had to go wherever he took me. Coming to Tansen was also a compulsion. Jogithum is from Khyaha, Ribdikot Rural Municipality-1. There was no opportunity to progress in the village by doing business.
I came to Tansen with my husband. I have a son and a daughter. My son has passed grade 12. My daughter is also studying in grade 10. I got married at a young age. After my husband arranged a place to wash vehicles (motorcycles and small jeeps) in Tansen, it became easier to work and eat.
I worked washing vehicles from morning to evening. A vehicle washing place was built in Tansen Holangdi. While living here, I managed to connect a ghaderi in Dharampani (2 kilometers away) in Tansen Municipality-5. Later, a small hut was built there. My husband and I used to wash vehicles together. As the pressure increased, we were able to give work to some others.
Sometimes the crowd grew so much that there was no time to wash. To avoid the customers having to wait for a long time, workers were also hired. Then, three to five people had to wash vehicles together. Maybe because of the great buzz, many people started coming to wash them. And we were able to achieve success quickly.
When we started working, that is, 10 years ago, washing a motorcycle cost 70 rupees. Gradually, it became 80 rupees and then 100. Now, we charge 120 rupees for washing a motorcycle and a scooty. I wash at least 30 motorcycles daily. If I get work, I also wash two or three cars, jeeps and small vehicles.
My husband and I started saving the money we used to wash vehicles. We bought a ghaderi with the money we saved after educating our children. I started raising pigs. My income was increasing. I used to save at least 18 to 20 thousand per month.
My husband also washes his vehicles. It was easy to save because he would keep an account of the vehicles I washed and give me money. He helped my husband not only with household expenses but also with savings. I didn't say winter or summer. I still haven't stopped working hard. I think my children should have studied. It is very difficult to manage household expenses. I still think that if I work hard, I will be successful. I don't earn as much as I used to. There is a lot of competition in the market. There is nothing to be afraid of. Many have started becoming regular customers. I can't buy goods in the market. The poor and the common people have become confused about how to make their daily living. Market prices have skyrocketed.
A sack of rice that initially cost 1,500 when I came to Tansen is now 2,700. Vegetables are equally expensive. Salt, oil, spices, and food have all become equally expensive. Cooking oil that used to cost 1,700 is now 2,800. Spices that used to cost 200 are now 400. These are some examples. All goods have become expensive. Who controls the market price? It is a pain now to manage household expenses as easily as it was 10 years ago. You could save a little more of the money you earn before. But now you can't save as much as you used to.
With the hard work of my husband and I, we were able to save enough to buy a house and build a house, even if it is small. This is a big success for us. That's why we forget the pain of having to work from 7 am to 7 pm. We can suffer . But to achieve the success we have suffered, it is difficult to get support from all sectors .
They say that the upcoming election will be held on Falgun 21 . We have no time to work even more than the election. Nothing will happen to us if this or that party wins . Still, we have understood our right to vote . It is a secret ballot, anyone can vote, but I laugh at those who come to ask for votes . We will vote in the village . It is in Zone 2 . Leaders have been heard to make many promises before winning the election .
I have seen many elections before . The price of food has increased . It is already being said what job to give to the son now . It is already being said whether to send him abroad or send him to work in India . Even after having a son, it is not possible to keep him here . When will the leaders understand this ? Skill-based training should be conducted . We have worked even when we were young. We have not been educated. We are not ashamed to do this work. But now our son finds it difficult to do such work. But we have also inspired him to do this work. The son did not agree. The daughter has also grown up. She also does not agree to do this work. It is not possible to provide enough work for many by bringing in workers. Most of us wash with our husbands and ourselves. Our children find it difficult to do this washing. Now, what will happen even if we vote for the leader? It is being said. They cannot control the price of the market. They have not been able to get a price when taking the produced materials to the market. They have not been able to provide any employment. So now it is time for the leaders to think. Before the elections, they give speeches saying that your one vote is important. And what did you do for the poor and the common people after winning the election?
