There is no address of the restaurant. He wanders like a traveler in search of work. Where there is work, there is accommodation. It has been almost 20 years since I came to Pokhara from Mayadevi-2 in Rupandehi looking for work. I work as a stick mason in bridge and building construction sites. Apart from that, I also arrange work by looking for workers.

I am 60 years old . There are 10 people at home including wife, two sons-daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Even when I am taking care of my grandchildren in my old age, I am still working in Dundee . There was no option to work as there was not enough to eat without working.

There are thread, sack plant, steel, plastic, cement, paper making factory in Mayadevi of Rupandehi. I was working in an industry there. A friend from the village had come to Pokhara to work. One day the moneylender said my friend needed a worker, someone  He said bring it. A friend said to me - working Pokhara Eyes .

I came to Pokhara through the contact of that friend. I came to Sahu's office at Lakeside and started working. At the beginning, I remember going to work on building a bridge in the river at Falewas in the mountain. After that, I worked in Western Regional Hospital, Hemza, Pame, Chorsanghu, Myagdi, Parbat in Pokhara. In the course of the

work, I got to know other contractors . Now a days when new job comes they inform . If I could sit and eat, why would I come so far? I used to live happily with my family. Even if it is hard work, everyone respects . You have done the accounting with satisfaction. Nothing has changed . We don't have a permanent address because we live where we work. Sometimes it is the moneylender who finds the room. If we don't get a room, we will make a tin tent and live in the construction site .

In the village, one bigha of rice, wheat and mustard cultivation is enough to eat . So far, it is easy because there is no disease. Being a vegetarian, I don't smoke or drink alcohol. However, there is concern about feeding/drinking the family by working . Now both sons are earning. The eldest son is separated. The younger son sometimes comes with me to work on the bridge .

I don't want to go home . Sometimes I go home in 3 months and sometimes in 6 months . From here, I travel by bus for 6/7 hours. I did not think that I will build a house in June. However, by God's grace, I met a friend from Pokhara. After the support of Nasib, I was able to build a 4-room sloped house . Not plastered yet. While building the house, he tied the sticks himself. The rest of the work was done by the contractor. I was able to earn my son's marriage. The family is happy about this.

In the beginning, I also worked plowing for the landlord. At that time, a day's wages were 40 rupees. After a day's work, he used to give rice and wheat at the rate of two manas. That's why the living was going on . After coming to Pokhara, the daily wage was 600 rupees. Now they give 1200 a day to the mason. Eating food earns well. My hard work has reached the family.

I have nothing to worry about now . I have reduced the debt while building a house to one and a half lakh. When I sent my son abroad and got him married, I took a loan of 3/4 lakh. I sit at home and rest after I'm done. Now it seems that even age does not help. I may not be able to work after 2/4 years at the most. That's why I have taught skills to my younger son. In old age, he takes care of that!
