The National Examination Board is going to conduct the grade enhancement test from Asad 1 for those who failed the Grade 10 Secondary Education Examination (SEE).
Tukraj Adhikari, the board's examination controller, informed that the grade enhancement test is going to be conducted from Asad 1 to 9 to give a chance to 146,507 students who were not graded in the SEE results this year. Informing that this year, 284,160 students were graded (passed) and 146,507 were not graded, he informed that 512,421 students filled the exam form, but 430,667 participated in the exam.
The National Examination Board has urged the concerned schools to conduct additional preparation classes for the grade enhancement test. The board has made public the schedule for re-examination if they are not satisfied with the SEE results.
He informed that if the results are not satisfactory, the time has been fixed from Jestha 1 to 7 for re-examination. The results of the examination conducted from Chaitra 19 to 29 were made public in 29 days.
He informed that 65.98 percent of students were graded in the SEE results released on Monday, which is an increase of 4.17 percent from last year.
This year, according to the province, 50,890 students have been graded in Koshi, 44,592 in Madhesh, 77,113 in Bagmati, 26,550 in Gandaki, 44,256 in Lumbini, 19,095 in Karnali and 21,664 in Sudurampaschim.
31,725 students from Madhesh Province, 21,366 from Koshi, 21,704 from Bagmati, 9,943 from Gandaki, 27,893 from Lumbini, 13,241 from Karnali and 20,635 from Sudurpaschim have been non-graded in the examination.
The board will soon start the admission process for class 11 this year, informed the board's examination controller officer. Stating that the board will start the admission preparation for class 11 soon, the Ministry of Education informed that the admission and teaching dates will be determined after discussing with the stakeholders.
