The National Examination Board is going to conduct this year's final examination of Grade 10, i.e. the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), simultaneously across the country from Chaitra 19 to 29.
The board on Wednesday announced the schedule of the SEE exam, which will be conducted from Chaitra 19 to 29.
According to the schedule, the first day will be the compulsory English exam on the 19th, compulsory Nepali on the 20th, compulsory Mathematics on the 22nd, compulsory Science on the 23rd, Social Studies on the 24th, Optional First Paper Subjects on the 25th and Optional Second Subjects on the 26th.
The exams for old and new courses in the technical stream will be held on Chaitra 27, 28 and 29, informed Tukraj Adhikari, the examination controller for class 10 under the board.
Last year's SEE was conducted from Chaitra 7, but this year, due to the upcoming House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21, the board has informed that this year's exam has been postponed by about 12 days compared to last year.
The board has informed that the Janak Shiksha Samagi Kendra is printing the necessary ballot papers for the upcoming Falgun 21 election and that the printing of the SEE exam question papers will also be done by Janak Shiksha, so the exam date has been postponed by a few days.
Informing that 517,000 students have applied for the SEE exam this year, the board said that last year, 421,585 students participated in the regular exam and 75,539 students participated in the grade increase exam.
