Kathmandu Metropolitan City has instructed Morgan International Secondary School in Bashundhara to submit the necessary documents within three days.

Shailendra Jha, a member of the Kampa Urban Planning Commission, informed that after finding serious irregularities in the operation of the school while monitoring the school, they were instructed to submit the necessary documents within three days. According to him, schools have been instructed to submit documents related to 22 areas within three days. Kampa has also warned that otherwise they will proceed according to the law.

A joint team of Kampa Urban Planning Commission, Department of Revenue, Department of Agriculture and Livestock, Department of Public Works, Department of Urban Management and Department of Education monitored the school. Jha informed that the main purpose of monitoring is the scholarship program, fee structure and compliance with regulatory standards.

Jha, a member of the Urban Planning Commission, said that although the scholarship program was started during the monitoring, several other problems were found in the school. 

Keshav Gyawali, Acting Head of Kampa Education Department, said that the fee was charged from the scholarship students and the school demanded a fee of 24 to 30,000 rupees. According to him, weaknesses have also been found in the physical infrastructure of the school and the operation of the chamenagriha. 

Kampa has instructed to submit certified copies of school operating permit, fee structure and scholarship details, physical infrastructure classrooms, security, chamenagriha documents, revenue and tax details, proof of school transfer to the education department within three days. Kampa has recently conducted a special monitoring campaign for the effective implementation of the scholarship program in public and private schools.
