The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued an interim order to open the 34-day-long lockdown in Tribhuvan University.

The Supreme Court has issued an interim order to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Police Head Office and Police Circle Kirtipur not to lock it, and if it has been locked, to open it, said Narayan Khanal, Legal Adviser of Trivi. The bench of Judge Nripadhwaj Niraula has ordered.

Advocate Mahesh Bhattarai and others registered a writ in the Supreme Court demanding to open the locked offices of the Vice-Chancellor, Rector, Registrar, Service Commission and others. In the writ registered on Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Police Head Office, District Administration Office Kathmandu, Police Circle Kirtipur, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar's Office were made opponents.

University Partial Professor Central Committee Chairman Gokul Lechhwa Limbu, Co-Chairman Rajendra Acharya, General Secretary Baikunth Thapa and Acting President Shivraj Bhatta of All Nepal National Independent Students Union Revolutionary University were also opposed.

On June 14th, some officers elected to Swaviyu from the Navy Union in various campuses vandalized the vice chancellor's office and locked it. Similarly, on May 30th, the partial professors' association locked the registrar, rector and service commission office along with the vice chancellor.

The elected members of the UNC Central Committee and SWVYU have not taken the official responsibility of the lockdown . The professors union has been taking the responsibility of the lockdown and has been obstructing the office bearers and employees from sitting and working outside the office.
