The Supreme Court has issued an interim order not to immediately implement the government's decision to suspend South Korea's study permits. A single bench of Judge Sunil Pokharel today issued an interim order not to immediately implement the government's decision to stop the foreign study permit (NOC) necessary for studying in South Korea.
The order states, "The decision of the opposition ministry dated 2082/1/28 and the notification dated 2082/1/30 published on the basis of that decision to suspend the process of allowing students to study in South Korea has been suspended regardless of the fact that the academic session has already started." In the
order, the decision to stop the permission of the students who have completed the entire process and even received the scholarship will cause irreparable damage to them.
The order was passed after hearing the writ petition filed by the victim student Eliza Pandey against the decision of the government against the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. In the
order, it has been asked to submit a written reply with reasons within 15 days.
