Signing of MoU between KU and NPI

An agreement has been signed between Kathmandu University (KU) and Nepal Policy Institute (NPI) to collaborate on matters of mutual interest in the fields of education and research.

Dhulikhel-based Kathmandu University and The Hague-based NPI of the Netherlands have signed a memorandum of understanding during a program held at the University's School of Management located in Lalitpur's Balkumari. Both institutions have agreed to cooperate in joint research, publication and exchange of researchers, professors and students. 

It has been agreed to mobilize grants for joint research in the field of public policy. Both parties have expressed their commitment to support each other's research initiatives.After the agreement, Kathmandu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Achyut Wagle said that the agreement will create opportunities for exchange between the university and the global academic community. In the

program, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NPI, Khagendra Dhakal, discussed the role played by the organization in strengthening policy research and think tank systems in Nepal and abroad.

Kathmandu University, established in 1991, is a leading university in Nepal. About 22,000 students are studying in the central and branch campuses of the university. NPI is a policy research organization established in the Netherlands in 2017, with a global network of more than 1,260 migration experts.
