Nine points have been agreed between the government and the 29-day protesting Nepal Teachers Federation. Education Minister Raghuji Pant informed that the agreement has been approved by the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.
The Council of Ministers has decided to make arrangements for subsidized treatment in private hospitals for teachers and school employees, reserve sick leave for temporary teachers including relief, join the social security fund, adjust grades, and provide minimum wages to child development teachers.
Minister Pant informed that the Council of Ministers has approved the agreement reached between the Federation of Teachers and the Ministry of Education. According to the Ministry of Education, the teachers will now return to school after the agreement.
