Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has promised to pass the school education bill by the parliament as soon as possible according to the demands of the protesting teachers. In a discussion with the officials of the teachers' federation in Baluwatar on Friday evening, he also assured to communicate with the ruling coalition, parliament officials and stakeholders regarding the finalization of the bill.
According to the president of the Teachers Federation, Laxmikishore Subedi, the discussion was held for about two hours in Baluwatar. During that time, the teachers informed the Prime Minister about the demand. "We have heard the demand. The teachers' federation, which met the Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai and submitted a 24-point attention letter, has been refusing to sit in the formal talks. Prime Minister Oli instructed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Minister of Home Affairs Ramesh Akhtar, and Minister of Education Bhattarai to do their homework regarding the legitimate demands raised in the movement and solve the problem through dialogue and dialogue.
