In the independent student union elections held in four campuses of the district, Aneraswaviyu won in two campuses while Navy Sangh and Akhil (Revolutionary) won in one campus each.
Biplav Bhandari of Aneraswawiyu has won the presidentship of Swawiyu in Janjyoti campus in Bhimad municipality in the elections held on Tuesday. Bhandari won the chairmanship by defeating the alliance of Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh and All Revolutionaries.
In the voting for the leadership of Swaviyu on the campus, the winning Bhandari got 131 votes while 244 votes fell out of 258 votes. His competitor Amrit Gaihre got 109 votes.
Similarly, Asmita Chhetri of Aneraswaviyu won by securing 121 votes, while Deepa Rana of rival Navy Sangh got 120 votes. Yesumaya Thapa of Aneraswaviyu has won the treasurer post by getting 132 votes, while Kasika Rana of the competitor Navy Union has got 107 votes.
According to the campus, Sujan Paudel, Savia Khatun Mian, Vishnu Uchai, Vinita Rasaili and Mamta Sigdel of Aneraswaviyu have won among the members of SWVYU.
Similarly, the alliance of Aneraswaviyu and Akhil (Revolutionary) has won in the Independent Student Union of Bhanubhakta Multiple Campus located in Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 Belchautara. Min Bahadur Thapa of Aneraswawiyu won the election as the president of Swaviyu. Niroj Bhattarai, the coordinator of the election committee, informed that Thapa, who won the presidency, got 128 votes and Ejina Mahat of the rival Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh got 105 votes.
Vinita Bhandari of Akhil (Krantikari) has won by getting 116 votes while her competitor Sunil Lamichhane of Navy Union has got 109 votes.
Pushpa Khadka of Aneraswaviyu won by getting 145 votes while her competitor Rasmita Karki of Navy Union got 87 votes. Among the members, Avijit Lamsal of Aneraswaviyu got 133 votes, Anjali Vick got 116 votes, Niraj Bhandari of Akhil (Revolutionary) got 116 votes, Pratiksha Giri of Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh got 113 votes and Swastika Sigdel of Navy Union got 112 votes.
Similarly, in the election that was held amid controversy and opposition, the panel of the New Union won the presidency of the Independent Students' Union of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus located in Beas Municipality-1 Vigyanchaur.
He was elected as president after receiving 500 votes, which was not contested, in the election that was held amid controversy and opposition for the selection of the leadership of the campus.
Out of 1,577 voters, 555 people voted and Sagar Pandey got 471 votes for secretary, Roshan Ojha got 479 votes for treasurer.
Aneraswaviyu, Akhil (revolutionary), Akhil (socialist) and Akhil (revolutionary) majorities did not participate in the election of the campus. Alleging that the election process was rigged, Aneraswaviyu has registered a writ in Pokhara High Court, while other student organizations, including Akhil (Revolutionary), locked the office of the election committee with various demands.
Campus head Mahaprasad Hadkhale said that 35 percent votes fell in the polls held at Adikavi Bhanubhakta campus amidst the boycott of four student organizations.
Similarly, Akhil (revolutionary) panel has won in the election of independent student union of Ambukhareni campus in Ambukhareni rural municipality. Nishan Magar of Akhil (revolutionary) won by getting 97 votes as the president of Swaviyu.
According to Election Officer Durga Bahadur Thapa, Bonis Adhikari of competing Nepal Student Union has received 64 votes, while Raksha Pokhrel of Aneraswaviyu has received seven votes despite withdrawing her candidacy.
Ganga Prasad Lamichhane of Akhil (Revolutionary) has won the secretaryship of the Campus Self-Assessment by securing 92 votes, while Kista Shrestha of the competing Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh has secured 62 votes and Monika Khatri of Aneras Self-Assessment has secured 12 votes.
Karuna Gurung of Akhil (Krantikari) won by getting 90 votes, while Avinas Thapa of rival Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh got 56 votes and Ashish Adhikari of Aneraswaviyu got 18 votes. Out of 205 voters, 175 people voted, Menuka Khatri, Sure Nepali and Vijja Rana Magar won as members.
