A writ has been registered in the high court of Pokhara, saying that there was fraud in the election process of Swaviyu University in Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus located in Byas Municipality-1 Vigyanchaur of the district.

The presidential candidate Savin Lamichhane filed a petition in the High Court on Friday. The payment of the said writ has been fixed on Sunday. In the writ, Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus, Independent Student Union Election Management Committee, Election Officer Visheshwar Timilsina, Tribhuvan University Independent Student Union Election Central Monitoring and Coordination Committee have been made opponents.

With the consent of all student organizations, the Election Committee has set a deadline of 2 pm on Tuesday for the registration of candidatures, but only the candidates of Aneraswawiyu have registered their candidacies within that time, according to Aneraswawiyu.

After the deadline for filing nominations, the Election Committee has set the time for filing nominations till 5:00 PM without any consultation with the student organization, and Aneraswaviyu has demanded that its candidate be declared unopposed, saying that only Aneraswaviyu received nominations within the stipulated time.

Similarly, candidatures of three organizations have been registered in the campus for the election of Swaviyu. The nominations of Savin Lamichhane as president, Ashish Paudel as secretary, Sushan Paudel as treasurer, Sujata Panth, Sangam Surkhali, Zenith Suvarnakar and Santosh Lamichhane as members have been registered from ANERASWA.

Akhil (Revolutionary) Samajwadi Union has registered the nominations of Sokos Bhattarai as President, Shiv Vishwakarma as Secretary, Ashok Ruchal as Treasurer, Sujan Sunar, Mamta Vishwakarma, Pratap Kumar Shrestha, Sujan Nepali, Sangam Poudel, Anita Thapa Magar, Gautam Kumal and Pramisha Shahi as members.
