The election process of Independent Student Union has been blocked in 6 individual campuses of Kathmandu Valley. According to the Central Election Committee, the election process has not progressed in Nepal Law, Padyamkanya, Shankardeva, Saraswati, Vishwabhasha and Ayurveda campuses.

There was a program to register candidates for the election on Tuesday in the private, community and private campuses of Tribhuvan University.

In 6 out of 22 campuses in Kathmandu Valley, the candidature registration process has not progressed, said Pashupati Adhikari, member secretary of the committee. The campuses reported that the process was blocked due to a dispute over the number of voters. Candidates are being nominated in other campuses.

The date of Swaviyu election has been fixed on 5th of Chait. Earlier, in 2079 too, the Swaviyu elections could not be held in all the campuses. 25 student organizations have registered their candidatures in the Central Election Committee to participate in the elections. According to the Election Committee, student organizations such as the Navy Sangh, Aneraswaviyu, and Akhil Krantikari have registered their candidacies in most of the campuses across the country.
