A 37-member district committee has been elected under the leadership of Namraj Shahi from the 14th district convention of Nepal National Teachers' Organization of Kalikot. The session that started on Friday ended on Saturday by selecting the 37-member unanimous leadership.
Radhika Shahi and Daulat Bahadur Shahi in the vice-chairman of the committee, Deep Bahadur Shahi, the state vice president of teachers' organization, said that Krishna Prasad Baral was elected as the secretary, Ratna Bahadur Shahi as the treasurer, Reshma Shahi as the joint secretary and Deukala Acharya Malla as the joint treasurer. According to him, 700 teachers from across Kalikot district are affiliated to the union. Teacher leader Pankh Bahadur Shahi informed that the closed session of the
convention discussed issues such as the need to increase the facilities of teachers for quality education, the need to enhance the capacity of teachers, the need to create physical infrastructure in schools, teacher posts, technology-friendly classrooms, etc.
