The officers of the university have drawn the attention of the vice chancellor search and recommendation committee to complete the vice chancellor recommendation process of Kathmandu University as soon as possible.
Thirteen officers of the university jointly sent a letter and drew attention to complete the recommendation process of the vice chancellor of the university as soon as possible.
Due to the delay in the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, the efficiency and impartiality of the committee have started to be questioned, so this process should be completed as soon as possible. It is also expressed the belief that the names of three people will be recommended to the Vice-Chancellor based on the procedure and criteria made for the selection of the Vice-Chancellor.
'The scores obtained by the candidates who participated in the Vice-Chancellor's selection process and gave presentations and interviews were tampered with, and after the process had started, other members of the committee were inconvenienced when a new condition was put forward for name recommendation that did not seem objective. We are all hopeful that the names of three people will be recommended as soon as possible based on the process and criteria approved by the committee itself after proving it wrong,' the joint attention letter said.
The attention letter has the signatures of Kathmandu University School of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Balchandra Luintel, Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Prakashchandra Bhattarai and Prof. Dr. Hemraj Kafle, Permanent Dean of School of Arts Ekkumaya Pun, Associate Dean Dr. Uddhav Pyakurel, Dean of School of Management Prof. Dr. Vijay KC, Associate Dean Dr. Khagendra Acharya and others. .
