According to Tribhuvan University, students who have returned from abroad without completing their studies can be given tuition according to the credit transfer policy.
Rector Khadge KC issued a statement on Tuesday and asked interested students and parents to contact the university. "Nepali students who are forced to return home due to the problems created at KIIT located in Odisha state of India, are informed that if they want to study the programs and subjects run by the university, they can be admitted according to the credit transfer policy," said the statement.
Earlier, Purvanchal University and Kathmandu University had asked students who have returned from abroad to come in contact with the opportunity to complete the rest of their studies through credit transfer. Purvanchal University has also decided to arrange for students who could not complete their studies abroad to study in their campuses by credit transfer.
Last Friday, the registrar's office issued a notice saying that students who could not complete their studies abroad due to reasons will complete the process in coordination with the government and make arrangements for credit transfer. It is mentioned in the notification that the arrangement will be made according to the criteria determined by the academic council in the official and affiliated campuses of the university. Kathmandu University has also started discussions for credit transfer/collection for such students. The Academic Council has informed that discussions have been started to understand the situation of students who cannot continue their studies in foreign universities.
Students are advised to submit an online form to participate in the discussion to be held next Friday.
