Education, Science and Technology Minister Sumana Shrestha has said that she will stop party politicization in education. He said this during a press conference on the occasion of 100 days since he took charge of the Ministry of Education. She said that she is committed to ending party politicization in education.
She said that the teachers will not be allowed to take membership of any political party and will leave after implementing the agenda.
She said that there should be no partisan politicization in education and she has an agenda that she will not leave until her last breath. She mentioned that although the progress in this field so far is not satisfactory, it has started. She said that rather than the government alone, everyone's support is needed. She said that this agenda can be meaningful only if everyone cooperates.
She said that as long as there is party politicization in education, it will continue to harm the teaching profession of society, teachers and students. She said that the Ministry requested the Election Commission for the data of the teachers affiliated to the party but did not receive it. He claimed that 825 teachers have renounced their political party membership so far
She mentioned that in 100 days, complaints were filed against 45 teachers, 41 teachers were asked for an explanation and 4 were acquitted.

She said that the education bill is under discussion in the legislative committee and she said that she did not know that it would come before this date. She said that the government has requested to bring it verbally and in writing soon.
She said, 'Many people ask when the education bill will come. We are in the executive branch. The bill is in the legislature. We have already requested to bring it verbally and in writing as soon as possible when it will come. It was said that the committee would go to every province and discuss. I think the committee is doing that. But the question is asked that the bill will come now. That 'I don't know' is not in my hand.'
She said that she is working on creating procedures and standards for the appointment of higher officials in higher education. He She said that a committee has been formed for the vice president of Cititivity. She claimed that she worked in the appointment of members of the Service Commission of Tribhuvan University and Bhishis.
She said that when the government appoints high officials of education, it is done based on merit and appropriateness rather than political divisiveness.
