A competition exhibition of cartoons drawn by students from various schools in Chitwan against corruption was held at Bharatpur Chaubiskothi on Friday. 

80 drawings, including 70 contestants drawn by students from 16 schools, were included in the exhibition. Out of these, the cartoon drawn by Smaran Saru Magar, a student of Chaturmukhi Secondary School in Shaktikhor, came first.

The organization called Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign organized the competition exhibition in collaboration with Better Chitwan and Gen-G Chitwan. Nischal Khadka of Himalayan Basic School in Bharatpur came second in the competition and  Supriya Lamichhane of Bahira Residential Secondary School in Bazarhatta, Rapti-8 came third. The winning students in the competition received cash prizes of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively.

The pictures express how the students understand corruption, said Janak Baniya, chairman of the organizing organization.  "The students got information about corruption, understood it well, and they can spread awareness against it in the society. They presented their art in the form of paintings. This makes the campaign effective," said Baniya.
