The world-renowned Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) has concluded with the screening of the film 'Yellow Letters'.

The film was screened at the closing gala of the 76th Berlinale at the Palast, after the Berlinale awarded the Golden Bear to the film.

After winning the Golden Bear for the best film, the same film is screened at the Berlinale closing gala.

‘Kurtulus’ (Salvation) won the ‘Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize’ at the awards ceremony. This film, which has a lot of spiritual faith, tells the story of how a character who raises his voice for change is isolated in a community. Similarly, ‘Queen at Sea’ won the Silver Bear, while ‘Everybody Digs Bill Evans’ director Grant Gee won the Silver Bear for Best Director. ‘Everybody Digs Bill Evans’ tells the story of a jazz musician.

Actress Sandra Huller won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance for her performance in ‘Rose’. ‘Queen at Sea’ won the ‘Best Supporting Performance’. Genevieve Dululu Day won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay. Directors Anna Fitch and Banker White lifted the Silver Bear for ‘Outstanding Artistry Performance’ for the film titled ‘Yo’. The two couples exchanged kisses in front of the audience when the awards were announced and after receiving the awards.

Abdallah Alkhatib won the Best First Feature Award for ‘Chronicles from the Seas’. Pepa Lubozacki won the Berlinale Documentary Award for the film ‘If Pigeons Turned to Gold’. ‘Someday a Child’ won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film. ‘A Woman’s Place is Everywhere’ won the Silver Bear Jury Prize. ‘Kleptomania’ won the Berlinale Shorts Cupra Award. At the closing ceremony, most of the winners expressed their views on art being political. Festival director Trisha Tuttle said that the beautiful side of democracy is that it encompasses all kinds of opinions and voices, and that the festival has always been on the side of democracy.
