The Himalayan Art Conference, which was held for the first time in Nepal, was concluded in Solukhumbu on Monday. . On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, artists from different places across the country painted Himalayan paintings at the project of Choling Monastery at Thekchen Pema located in Salleri, the headquarters, and at the Art Conference organized in partnership with the Ruben Art Museum America.
Tenji Sherpa, the president of the organizing monastery, said that Himalayan Art Conference was held with the aim of promoting Buddhism through painting and bringing wisdom to the common people. The art conference, which started with the chief hospitality of the Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Naradamani Hartmchali, ended with the chief hospitality of Palsangmu Sherpa, the head of the Department of Archeology of the Academy of Fine Arts.
Similarly, Angel Basnet from Jhapa won the first place in the painting competition organized on the occasion of the Art Conference. It is said that the painting made by him was the first on the basis of voting and on the basis of art. Similarly, Anish Bahadur Nembang is in the second place and Pooja Rai is in the third place.
In the competition where 17 people competed, they won 25,000, 20,000 and 15,000 respectively as the first, second and third place. An exhibition of thangka paintings was also held on the occasion of the art conference. The paintings created by the thanka trichkars have been handed over to the monastery for display.
