60 art works by 50 artists have been put on display at Thamel, Kathmandu's major tourist destination.
Sarong Art Group organized a three-day workshop and art exhibition at Hotel Art Thamel in collaboration with Sonja Art Gallery. In this exhibition, the artworks of 50 artists from Nepal, India and Bangladesh have been displayed.
National Independent Party leader and Kathmandu area no. Ganesh Parajuli, member of the 7th House of Representatives, inaugurated the exhibition. He said that the relationship between different countries has been strengthened through art exhibitions. He mentioned that such art exhibitions will also help in the development of Nepal's art sector.
Chiranjeevi Bhatt, chairman of Sonja Art Gallery and owner of Hotel Art Thamel, said that the exhibition was organized with the aim of spreading the art sector of Nepal at the international level. He said that since 2004, Sonja Art Gallery has been promoting Nepali art at the international level.
Bangladesh's senior photographer Dr. Imran Win Yunus responded that it is a pleasure for Indian and Bangladeshi artists to exhibit art in Nepal, which is beautiful in culture and nature. In the exhibition, which will be held for three days, senior artist of Bangladesh Safiq Ahmed Sajiv, Azizul Qadir, Rafia Akhtar, Indian senior artist Rehman Patel, Dr. Pictures of Suwaya Yam Nila, Narayan Sukambara and others are included.
Sarong Art Group, which has exhibited art in six places in five countries, organized the seventh art exhibition in Nepal, the president of the group, Nargis Soma, informed. The group has previously exhibited art in Japan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India.
