Renowned Roman Megassay award winning environmental engineer Sonam Wangchuk is going to visit Jhapa. He is going to appear as the 'keynote speaker' in the fifth edition of Kala Sahitya Utsav organized by Readers Jhapa at Kakadvitta.
This time there will be an environmental discussion at the festival to be held from February 14-16. Sonam, who is leading the educational, cultural and environmental movement in Ladakh, will come to Jhapa on February 15, Shailesh Dahal, president of Readers Jhapa, said.
On February 16, Sonam will give a lecture on the topic of 'Environmental Thinker's Mio' and will also have a double dialogue with another environmental scientist, Uttambabu Shrestha . Organizers said that he will return to Ladakh on the same day.
Sanju Sampang, the coordinator of Kala Sahitya Utsav, who was invited to the event, said that all the campaigns being conducted by Sonam will inspire people to do environmental movement at the local level and far away as well.
