Ragini Upadhyay Art Institute, Balkot has announced that every year, one journalist will be awarded an award and two students will be given scholarships.

The meeting of the foundation held on Saturday decided to establish a fund to encourage the development, research and promotion of art in Nepal by giving an award of 1 lakh to one journalist and a scholarship of 50,000 rupees each to two students. Ragini Upadhyay, Bhaskar Koirala and Srijan Rana have pledged to support the fund in the beginning, according to the statement released by the foundation.

awards and scholarships will be given every year on the 9th of November, Professor Govindraj Pokharel, the secretary of the institute, informed.  In the inauguration, former chancellor of Nepal Lalitkala Pragya Pratishthan Ragini Upadhyaya, vice president Swarnim Wagle, secretary Prof. Pokharel, the treasurer is Supriya Poudel.
