The Far Western Province Government is going to run a poverty reduction program in 6 local levels with high poverty rates. The policy and program for the fiscal year 2083/84, which was made public by the Far Western Province Government on Monday, states that the program will be run intensively to improve the living standards of the residents of Dhakari Rural Municipality and Kamalbazar Municipality of Achham, Shikhar Municipality of Doti, Triveni Municipality of Bajura, and Sigas and Shivnath Rural Municipality of Baitadi, which have high poverty rates.

The policy and program presented by Provincial Chief Nazir Miya has repeated many attractive slogans and campaign programs like the past.

The government has given priority to the tourism sector in the coming fiscal year. The policy and program states that the construction of the Dewatabi Tourist Circuit will be started. With the slogan 'Tourism Infrastructure is the Basis of Prosperity', it is mentioned that a tourism promotion program will be run by protecting the religious, cultural, historical, archaeological, wetlands and Lataiya areas of the province. Under which, it has been said that the Badimalika Integrated Development Plan will be implemented to develop the province as a tourism hub, tent camping will be operated in the Badimalika area in collaboration with the private sector, and the Khanidanda, Chisapani, Rajkanda and Malas areas will be developed as hill stations.

Similarly, the policy and program has also mentioned the construction and management of physical infrastructure such as electricity, transportation, trekking routes, homestays, hotels in the Khaptad area.

For the improvement of the health sector, it has been said that Seti, Mahakali and Tikapur provincial hospitals will be upgraded to 100 beds. Similarly, it is mentioned that the district hospitals in 6 hilly districts will be upgraded to 25 to 50 beds. In addition, it has been said that beds will be added to strengthen the dialysis services provided by Seti, Mahakali and Tikapur hospitals, and a cath lab will be established at Seti Provincial Hospital. Similarly, the government has said that the construction of provincial pride projects will be completed within the next fiscal year.

Like in the past, the policies and programs filled with slogans include the 'Province Chief Startup Program' to promote entrepreneurship among young people, the 'One House, One Stream' program, the 'Chief Minister's Small Enterprise Program', 'Let's sweat and laugh in the country' to prevent youth migration and create employment in the country, and 'The Chief Minister's resolution for good governance and prosperity for a digital province', and the establishment of a CM Action Room and Command Center to monitor projects and programs. The Action Room and Command Center were also in the policies and programs of the current fiscal year.

The Investment and Development Conference, which has been postponed for 2 consecutive years, has been said to be held next year as well. It has been said that the work of connecting Saipal Rural Municipality, Apihimal Rural Municipality and Swamikatik Khapar Rural Municipality, which are not connected to the road network, will continue.

Opposition party MPs reacted that the policy and program are traditional. NCP MP Akkal Bahadur Rawal said that the policy and program are ritualistic. ‘The policy and program do not have the foresight to address the latest environment, aspirations and needs changed by the Gen-G movement,’ Rawal said, ‘It has become traditional.’
