With the aim of charting a roadmap for the overall development, policy reforms and economic prosperity of the Far West Province, the 'Far West Court 2083' has been organized in Dhangadhi on Jestha 2 and 3.

The Far West Development Foundation and the technical cooperation of the Far West Province Policy and Planning Commission are organizing a comprehensive court dialogue program.

Addressing a press conference in Dhangadhi on Wednesday, Foundation Chairman Sher Bahadur Shahi said that the court will play an important role in uncovering the hidden potential of the province and setting a common vision for prosperity.

The two-day court will focus on important sectors such as education, health, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure and employment. The organizers have stated that the program will also include in-depth discussions among experts on safe immigration, good governance and the challenges of the current economic situation of the province.

The findings and suggestions from the dialogue will be made public as the ‘Far West Manifesto,’ said Shahi, chairman of the foundation. ‘The said declaration will be recommended for inclusion in the budget and policy-making process of the provincial and federal governments for the upcoming fiscal year,’ he said.

Speaking at a press conference, Nrip Sunar, member of the Far West Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, said that such a dialogue would provide a concrete action plan to determine the province’s development priorities and create an investment-friendly environment. He mentioned that this courtroom will prove to be a milestone in clearing the ambiguities at the policy level and building understanding among all stakeholders on development issues.

Representatives of all three levels of government, experts from various fields, private sector entrepreneurs, representatives of banks and financial institutions, civil society, and media personnel will participate in the program. The organizers claim that this program will be successful in further strengthening coordination between the government and the community by bringing the development debate to a single platform. It is believed that the court will provide new energy to promote the far west, which has been lagging behind despite its potential, at the national and international levels.
