The bodies of 35-year-old Pahal Singh Budha and his 13-year-old son Nari Budha of Turmakhand Rural Municipality-3 were found on Sunday. Both of them went missing on April 15 when their boat capsized. The father and son went missing when their boat capsized in the Karnali River while they were cutting grass from the forest in Panchapuri Municipality-7 of Surkhet, across the Karnali River.
A six-member diving team led by Armed Police Deputy Inspector Chetan Rajkoti from Surkhet and a disaster management team led by Armed Police Assistant Inspector Khemraj Khatiwada from No. 49 Gulma Head Quarter Khaptad Achham retrieved the bodies from under the water 500 meters from the incident site, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Om Prakash Khanal.
