Locals with voting rights in two polling stations in the district have boycotted the election. Voters at Gaurishankar Secondary School Nagu in Naugad Rural Municipality-1 and Dudhila Basic School Jhusku in Apihimal Rural Municipality-3 have boycotted the election.

Due to the boycott by locals, employees are returning to the district headquarters carrying empty ballot boxes. Only temporary voters (employees) at both polling stations have voted in the proportional representation system.

According to Dev Singh Farswan, Assistant Polling Officer at Gaurishankar Secondary School Nagu, 9 votes have been cast in the proportional representation system. He said that they will return to the district headquarters, Khalanga, only on Friday due to the difficult road conditions. There were 602 voters at this polling station.

On Wednesday alone, a team led by the provincial secretary of the Sudurpaschim Province government had reached Nagu and urged the residents of the Nagu area who had boycotted the vote to vote.

Meanwhile, 8 votes have been cast in the proportional representation system at Dudhila Basic School in Apihimal Rural Municipality. Polling officer Premraj Awasthi informed that the employees returned to the district headquarters with only the proportional representation votes cast due to the boycott by the locals.
