Congress Vice President Sharma's announcement in Achham: 'Let's vote thoughtfully, not impulsively'

What you should know

Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has come to Achham and emphasized the need for development and the need for political instability in the past.

Sharma addressed separate programs in both the House of Representatives constituencies of Achham on Saturday. He put forward the agenda of development, good governance and stability by calling for the victory of the party's candidates through election meetings organized in Achham-1 and Achham-2.

Former district president Bharat Kumar is the candidate from the Congress in Achham-1, while party president Pushpa Bahadur Shah is in the fray in Achham-2.

'When I came to Achham, I had come by train 12 years ago. After 6 months, a road was built for vehicles. There was no college, but a college opened. We should also look at what happened in the past. It was wrong to form 30 governments in 34 years. The employees were not able to work,' he said, urging voters to be restrained, 'Let's think before going to vote, let's be restrained . We should not vote out of impulse or anger to show off . There are no turns in politics, there is competition .'

He expressed his belief that 'even if a storm comes, we can handle it', referring to the Genji movement and demonstration held on Bhadra 23 and 24. 'Who has the strength to include everyone?' He also discussed the party's inclusive policy.

Sharma said that 'we have put forward young Tek Bahadur BK as a proportional candidate' and gave an opportunity to the new generation . 'In 64 BS, we have already seen the new, the people suffered seeing the Maoists,' he added.

Addressing the voters of Achham, he said, ‘The question is not whether Pushpa Shah will win or not, but whether the country will win or not.’ He opined that we should move forward with determination to take Badimalika, Rama Roshan, Khaptad and Sudurpaschim forward.

Giving a message of cooperation within the party, he said, ‘Even if Gagan and Bishwaprakash are the president and vice-president, we will move forward with all the old parties. The one who can change can change others. The Congress is coming as the first force. Wherever it goes, there is a wave of the Congress. Responsibility cannot be fulfilled by talking cheaply. Only vision can stop it from going out. Countries like America and Britain did not develop by tying them to trees. Let us not get carried away.’

Stating that the Prime Ministerial candidate is ready for the debate, he said, ‘A country cannot be built by running away from the debate by waving hands. Our Prime Ministerial candidate is ready to debate wherever, whenever. We should move forward with a determination to do what we can in 10 years, not just by criticizing the opposition.’
