A girl has died and another person has been injured in an elephant attack in Kanchanpur.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur Shahi, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Saud's 6-year-old daughter Rojina Saud died when an elephant attacked the house of Kisan Singh Saud of Chandev in Laljhandi Rural Municipality-6 of the district. A wild elephant attacked Saud's house last night. Saud's 55-year-old mother Parbati Saud was injured while trying to escape after the elephant attacked the house.
The injured have been referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment. According to spokesperson Shahi, the injured 6-year-old Rojina died during treatment at Navajivan Hospital in Dhangadhi.
