The Sudurpaschim Province government has decided to provide one lakh rupees each as humanitarian assistance to the families of those who lost their lives in a bus accident in Baitadi on Thursday.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah on Friday.
On Thursday, a bus carrying Janti from Baitadi to Bajhang met with an accident in Badgaun, Purchaundi Municipality-7. The death toll in the accident has reached 13 while 35 injured people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. The cabinet meeting also decided that the provincial government will bear all the medical expenses of those injured in the bus accident while they are being treated at government hospitals.
