The meeting of the Congress District Working Committee, Darchula, held on December 25 and 26 had unanimously recommended leader Badu as a candidate for the House of Representatives.
Leader Badu had expressed his desire not to be a candidate in the meeting due to the evolving political situation in the country, especially the political and social situation created by the Genji movement and demonstrations on September 23 and 24. Leader Badu had thanked the district committee for recommending him.
