Dadeldhura Hospital, which is under the federal government, has started providing complex orthopedic surgeries to the citizens of the region in an accessible and quality manner. The hassle and high expenses that patients and their families have to bear when traveling to big cities or districts for treatment are now avoided.

Various complex orthopedic surgeries have been successfully completed at the hospital recently. A 65-year-old male patient from Amargadhi Municipality-7 underwent a successful thigh replacement surgery. Similarly, a 70-year-old man from Amargadhi Municipality-10 underwent a successful knee fracture surgery.

Patients from outside Dadeldhura have also started receiving services from the hospital. The hospital has stated that a 65-year-old woman from Shivnath Rural Municipality-3 in Baitadi underwent a successful knee fracture surgery along with a fractured tibia and fibula. Similarly, a 27-year-old woman from Lekam Rural Municipality-6 in Darchula also underwent surgery.

According to the hospital, 40 complex surgeries have been completed in the 25 days of the month of Poush. The hospital claims that some of these surgeries were performed for the first time in the Sudurpaschim Province. With specialist services now available at Dadeldhura Hospital, patients are less likely to have to travel elsewhere for treatment. Dadeldhura Hospital has said it is preparing to continue providing quality treatment by expanding its specialist services in the coming days.
