A woman in labor has been rescued by helicopter in Doti. Muna Shrimal, a 23-year-old barren woman from Adarsh Rural Municipality-1, was rescued on Thursday and sent to Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.
According to the District Police Office, Doti, eight-month pregnant Shrimal was taken to Sujang Hospital, Rajpur, Doti for treatment on Thursday after experiencing labor pains.
The baby died during treatment at the hospital and the mother's health condition became critical after fainting, and she was rescued by helicopter under the initiative of the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Government of Nepal, under the President's Women Upliftment Program, according to the District Police Office.
