Three municipalities in Kanchanpur closed schools on Monday after the extreme cold weather made life difficult for people for the past few days.
As the cold weather has caused problems for children in school, Laljhadi Rural Municipality, Belauri Municipality and Beldandi Rural Municipality have declared school holidays. Locals say that children and the elderly are particularly affected.
