Five polling stations have been added to Baitadi for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.

Naresh Dayal, Information Officer of the District Election Office, Baitadi, said that 214 polling stations have been set up for the upcoming elections in Baitadi, which had 210 polling stations in the last election. He said that the previous 129 polling stations will remain the same. 

The additional polling stations are the ward office building of Sigas Rural Municipality-4, Kandhar, Dasharathchand Municipality-7, Kedarshila Basic School, Surkal, Dasharathchand-9, Kedar Basic School, Sim Lodasau, Shivnath Rural Municipality-3, Shreepur Basic School, Bachhala, and Patan Municipality-5, Tripureshwor Secondary School, Kulda. Similarly, one of the two polling stations in Melauli Municipality-2, Koteshwor Basic School, has been removed. There will be a temporary polling station in the district headquarters.  

The Election Office has stated that the work of collecting details of temporary voters who are employees under local, provincial and federal governments, representatives of security agencies, and those in prison or old age homes is underway.

There are 156,372 voters in the district for the upcoming elections. This year, 6,216 voters have been added.
