The long-adjourned meeting of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly under the current session is scheduled to be held on December 21.

Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari informed that it has been decided to hold a meeting of the Provincial Assembly on Poush 11 in the meeting of the Provincial Assembly, Business Management Advisory Committee held today.

After the arson and vandalism of the Provincial Assembly building on Bhadra 24 during the Genji movement, regular meetings have not been held. During the Genji movement, damage worth nearly eighty million rupees was caused to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, parliamentary party offices, and the Parliament building.

Provincial Assembly Secretariat Secretary Dev Bahadur Bogati said that the repair work on the damaged structures has reached the final stage and it has been decided to hold a meeting of the current budget session at 2:00 pm on Poush 11.

He said, 'Consultations are being held with the government on holding a meeting on Poush 11 and immediately ending the current session and calling a winter session. If that does not happen, additional meetings of the current session will be held.'
