A young man has gone missing in the Mahakali River this afternoon. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohara, spokesperson of the District Police Office, informed that 28-year-old Sani Damai of Bhimdatta Municipality-3, Tilakpur, has gone missing in the Mahakali.
'Initial reports have come that Sani, who had gone to the Mahakali Ghat to make a funeral pyre for his local brother, slipped and disappeared in the Mahakali,' he said. 'Security personnel including Nepal Police have been mobilized in the search operation.'
Similarly, the body of 21-year-old Roshan Damai of Bhimdatta-12 Odali, who went missing in the Mahakali River nine days ago, was found today. Damai, who went missing while bathing in the Mahakali River from the Bhujela area, was found on the river bank 200 meters south of the Dodhara Chandani Suspension Bridge, according to the Area Police Office, Dodhara Chandani. The police have handed over the body to his relatives after completing the necessary procedures.
