Police have arrested 41-year-old Gambhir Bahadur Chand of Bagar, Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-4, with a loaded gun. Based on a confidential information, a team deployed from the District Police Office, Baitadi, arrested Chand while he was walking with a gun on the Mahakali Corridor road near his house.
Armed Police Force Nepal No. 51 Gulma Baitadi, a team deployed from the Adatola forest under the Melauli road section of Patan Municipality-5, found a loaded gun, a loaded gun barrel, a rod and gun parts in an abandoned state, said Armed Police Force Nepal No. 51 Gulma Baitadi Information Officer and Armed Police Inspector Ramesh Bista.
A loaded gun, two boxes of ammunition, 4 large pellets, 31 small pellets and a cape, three matchboxes were found with Chand, said District Police Office Baitadi Information Officer and Police Inspector Baldev Badu.
Chand is being investigated after the court extended his remand for five days, according to the District Police Office Baitadi.
