The District Police Office, Kailali, has arrested 42 absconding defendants in a single day. The 42 defendants were arrested in a single day as part of a special campaign conducted by the district and subordinate police units to ensure effective implementation of court decisions.

All those arrested have been handed over to the District Court Kailali for necessary legal proceedings, the District Police Office has said.

According to the police, those who have yet to pay their prison sentences and fines were found hiding in various places in the district and arrested.

Rajkumar Singh, Information Officer of the District Police Office Kailali, said that the police have been active in implementing the court's decisions in a timely manner. He said that the search for other absconding defendants is also ongoing.
