The Gen-G generation held a rally in the district headquarters Mangalsen on Thursday to raise awareness about corruption. They held a rally displaying pamphlets including 'Not only brothers, but also take action against our parents if they are corrupt, Gen-G generation, we will rise up, we will work together to build the country, no corruption'.
The rally, which started from Mangalsen's Bairagidhara under the leadership of Gen-G leaders Ritik Swar, Prakash Rawal, Parivartan Bhat and others, turned into a corner meeting after reaching the market. Gen-G leader Ritik Swar said that the awareness rally was held on Thursday as a continuation of the Gen-G movement and demonstration held on Bhadra 23 and 24. 'We, the Gen-G generation, are united against corruption. Now the old parties must either correct themselves or be defeated,' he said, 'Corruption starts from the general consumer committee. Now our generation cannot sit and watch all this nonsense. We will continue to be vigilant.'
Another Gen-G leader Prakash Rawal said that not only the leaders in the district but also the bureaucracy are committing irregularities and corruption, which he warned through the awareness meeting. 'How does the lifestyle of a ward member and their family change in just one year? How can a house be built in Dhangadhi, Kathmandu, while being the head of a municipality or rural municipality? "The Gen-G generation will now investigate this," Rawal said, "We have prepared files on corruption in big schemes and other schemes in Achham district. We will soon hold a press conference and expose it."
He also said that the Gen-G generation will hold awareness meetings in each district to ensure that history is not forgotten through the movement of the Gen-G generation on Bhadra 23 and 24.
