In Baitadi, a woman gave birth to a child on the way. 22-year-old Basanti Bista of Purchodi Municipality-10 Vijaypur, Goragaon of the district gave birth to a baby on the road.
Basanti's house is on the border of Purchoudi Municipality and Dogdakedar Rural Municipality. While Basanti was coming to Kataujpani health post for delivery, she gave birth to the baby on the way.
Even though her service area is Vijaypur health post in Purchaudi, Anami Ramita Joshi of Katojpani health post said that she gave birth to a baby on the way while taking her to Kataujpani health post in Dogdakedar.
'On the way, there was a lot of labor pain,' she said, 'It would take only 10 minutes to reach the health post. After giving birth to the baby, we brought him to the health institution and gave him further treatment.
According to Anami Joshi, Basanti gave birth to a baby weighing 3 kg and 400 grams. Now the health of both is normal according to the health post.
