Health workers say that if this disease is treated in time, the chance of death is very low. Although the symptoms usually look like typhoid, if treatment is not done during scrub typhus, it can even kill people, said Deputy Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Baitadi, Dr. Sushil Vick. "Because it causes infection in the kidneys, brain, lungs, and liver, it is difficult to save the patient if not treated on time," said Dr. Vic said.
After infection in the bite area, symptoms such as sickness, fever, and pain in different parts of the body appear. Vic said. He has asked the general public not to take fever for granted. He said that while working in the bush, fields, forests, one should wear clothes that cover the whole body, while sitting in the bush or in the square, one should sit with something covered.
Health directorate Rajpur Doti said that this disease can be avoided if you keep the surroundings clean along with personal hygiene and control rodents.
