Three people were injured after being struck by lightning on Friday night. According to the police, three people were injured due to lightning in Malikarjun Rural Municipality-7, Joljibi.
According to the district police office, 24-year-old Vimala Lavad, four-year-old Riya Lavad and three-month-old baby Dipesh Lavad of Shailyashikhar Municipality-3, Luita were injured. They were injured when lightning struck the house of Maniram Tamta of Zoljibi, who were inside the room, said Chhatra Bahadur Rawat, information officer of Darchula police.
The condition of the injured is normal and they are now at home. Riya and Dipesh are Vimala's children. Vimala came to her mother-in-law's house in Jailjibi. According to the police, a bull in the shed of the house died due to lightning.
