The Mahakali highway, which was blocked by landslides, has been put into operation. Due to incessant rain on Sunday night, a landslide occurred in Malikarjun Rural Municipality-3 Terchalek and Ranebash of Shailyashikhar Municipality-6 of Gokuleshwar-Darchula road section under the highway.
landslide Chief District Officer of Darchula, Anil Paudel, informed that the highway was operational after 11:00 a.m. after the diversion. With the opening of the highway, the traffic that was closed has come into operation.
As the vehicles started operating, the stranded passengers also headed towards their respective destinations, the police said.
