Four local people were injured due to the bite of a wild jackal in Beas village-6 of the district.

Locals said that a jackal attacked and injured three people while cutting grass near the house on Sunday afternoon.

According to the vice chairman of Beas Rural Municipality, Vinod Kunwar, 70-year-old Ganesh Dutt Bhatt, 51-year-old Dhauli Bhatt and 75-year-old Chauli Devi Bhandari of Khatigaon were injured due to the fox attack.

Similarly, four days ago, Jai Bahadur Bam was attacked and injured by a jackal, according to a local Khati. Local Ramesh Bhatt said that the injured locals were brought to the District Hospital Khalanga after first aid at the rural health unit center in Beas-6 Khatigaon and from there they were referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment.
