The Jai Prithvi Highway, blocked by landslides, has been operational since Wednesday afternoon. The highway was completely blocked by a landslide near Sigas rural municipality-9 Ramilapur of Baitadi around 1 am on Tuesday night.
After the road was blocked, the vehicles entering and exiting Bajhang were stopped on the way. After clearing the landslide, the vehicles have gone to their destination.
After JCB of road division office Baitadi cleared the landslide, the highway has been operational since afternoon, said Police Inspector Balaram Pandey, spokesman of district police office Baitadi.
"Now the vehicles are running fully on the highway," Police Inspector Pandey said, "Now that the weather has cleared, there will be no such problem." Rain has stopped in Baitadi since Wednesday afternoon.
